"I just returned from a golf trip to Ireland with 4 couples.
We played all of the "big names" and would rank Ardglass on a par with many of them. The greens were better than Royal County Down, European Club or Portmarnock, the views were better than Portstewart, Waterville or Doonbeg.
The 11th hole was as good as any we played anywhere.
Ardglass was genuinely playable for the ladies, which unfortunately was not true of many of the other courses over there.

"This is the BEST KEPT SECRET IN IRELAND.
I just finished the dream golf trip playing Ballybunion, Royal Portrush, Portmarnock, Druids Glen, Ardglass, and Royal County Down.
I'm not exaggerating when I say that the round at Ardglass was the most enjoyable and memorable of them all. I cant believe everyone does not know about Ardglass. The greens were the best of any of the courses I played by far, in fact they were the only ones on par with what I would expect from a premium priced golf course.
The blend of rock and ocean made for some incredibly dramatic holes. Come to think of it, there isnt a bad hole on this course. The views of the ocean, rocks, islands made this the most photogenic of all the courses I played.
The staff, the clubhouse, the food, the local club members I played with were all fantastic as well.
I cant wait to get back."

"I had a very memorable introduction to Ardglass Golf Club playing along side my cousin Noel Burke on an unusually calm evening on August 9th 2011 at 5pm, I actually got a sun tan, hardly any wind and the sun was shining for most of the round.
Now, I just want to come back when the wind is howling to experience this marvelous course at its wildest and most threatening.

"Schon der Spaziergang zum Golfplatz am Abend vor unserer Golfrunde hatte etwas magisches: absolute Ruhe, wunderbares Abendlicht über den Klippen und Fairways, die dunklen Umrisse des historischen Clubhauses. Wir genossen das letzte Abendlicht bei einem Guinness auf einer der schönsten und kleinsten Clubhausterrassen der Welt. Von den Zinnen herab sieht man auf den Hafen, die Links und das Meer. Dass wir die Runde Golf am folgenden Tag bei herrlichem Sonnenschein und beinahe Windstille spielen durften, erhöhte die Freude und den Genuss, diesen hervorragenden Linkskurs zu spielen.Die ersten Löcher an den Klippen entlang, die zwei bergab Par drei mit Blick über die Meeresbucht und zu den Mourne Mountains, das Par 5 11.Loch zählen mit zum Schönsten, was ich im Golf je erlebt habe. Abgerundet wurde dieses wundervolle Erlebnis durch die Freundlichkeit der Menschen in Ardglass, unserer Wirtin Ann-Marie, den Pros im Pro-Shop, den netten Damen im Clubhaus, die uns vorzügliche Muscheln servierten und nicht zuletzt von Captain Corman MacMullan den ich an dieser Stelle sehr herzlich grüsse.
